17-year-old Nicole Guido Successfully Completes Licensing to Race Professionally in NHRA Super Comp Division
In September 2010 Nicole received her NHRA license, allowing her to race at a professional level, like what you see on ESPN. Nicole’s new custom built 25-foot-long PRO START 4 Link Dragster was purchased in March and took 5 months before assembly was complete. Predictions are the dragster will run a quarter mile in 7.7 seconds at 174 mph (with a 900 hp big block) and 8.50 seconds at 155 mph (with a 610 hp small block). Not bad for the 17-year-old Senior at Pope John High School.
Nicole has been racing for the past 4 years at a Jr. level. During that time she has won 100’s of races preparing herself to advance. Licensing took place at Numidia Dragway in Numidia PA. It takes 100% dedication and practice every weekend...always staying focused and never giving up. "Competition is really tough, especially as you move up the ranks, but I try not to ever get psyched out. I’m going to be running against guys with 10, 20, and 30 years experience. (In the pits were all friends, once on the track …all bets are off!)"
